The Year 12s had a great day out visiting the University of Oxford with the Brilliant Minds Programme. The programme aims to introduce the pupils to university life and allows them to build up skills and knowledge in a subject area that they are interested in. This was the first step in their programme which saw them have an introduction to life as a student at the University of Oxford, followed by a Q+A session with current undergraduates where the Year 12s were able to ask lots of questions and get a sense of the day to day routine of a University student. After a beautiful but cold walk across Oxford city centre the pupils were shown around St Catherine’s College. The whole day was a brilliant opportunity for the Year 12s to get them inspired and thinking about their life after A-levels.
