House of Lords Visit

It was a pleasure to take three of our fantastic year 11 Citizenship students to represent Pimlico at the Politics Project Powerful Conversations Report Launch at the House of Lords. A number of Pimlico students across different year groups have engaged with the Politics Project Digital Surgeries initiative. This programme helps students formulate powerful and meaningful questions to speak to people in positions of power. Bleon, Ahmed and Ria shared their experiences of the project in front of peers, charities, MPs and other school leaders at the House of Lords. They eloquently shared how the project impacted upon them and why they found the experience of questioning their local MP, Nickie Aiken so impactful. Mr Tuffoc and Mrs Owen also shared from a teacher perspective the impact the programme has had on Pimlico students. The programme is something we will continue to do with our students as we know their voices are key in shaping our political system. A huge well done to Bleon, Ahmed and Ria for representing Pimlico so fantastically.
