Eight of our students travelled to the Kyian Prince Foundation stadium to participate in a girls’ football tournament organised by QPR FC Foundation. It was a sweltering day; however, our girls played very well in the exhausting heat. We lost our first game 2-0; however, we bounced back by winning our next two games and scraped a draw in the last group qualifier to qualify for the quarter-finals. We drew 0-0 in the quarter-finals, then lost on penalties ending our journey in the tournament. However, the girls had a wonderful experience and thoroughly enjoyed playing football on a quality grass surface in a 25 thousand seater stadium.
