Future Academies was established to improve the life chances of young people through an education based on knowledge, aspiration and respect. As part of this vision, we are working to build communities in which children, families and staff of all backgrounds feel included and valued, and where everyone is treated with respect and equality. We stand against racism, prejudice and discrimination in all forms, which have no place in our schools. We recognise that members of the Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities have not always received the fairest deal from society and stand in solidarity with the need to redress this.
Words must always be matched by deeds. We must always work to identify where we can do better and act to ensure that we are living up to our values. We have a clear commitment to doing this, across the Trust and in each of our academies. A representative Trust-wide Race and Equality Committee has been established to oversee this vital work.
